I remember the time when Wayne was asked to leave Sue Seward's chem class because he just wouldn't listen to her and kept acting up. He was told to go to Dick Lane's office and he never came back to school after that. It was a strange thing because Wayne was a good student and fun to be with and usually no more rowdy then the rest of us. I often wonder what went on in that office. I saw him one time after that around town.

Wayne was an fun guy to hang around with because his father ran the Texaco station on Church St and later a garage on Providence Rd, where they lived. I liked going to his house and roaming Youngsma's farm where a few airplanes could be found in old wooden hangers.

I didn't know Wayne all that well, but I did like him. So sorry to lose another mate way too soon.

Wayne indeed was fun to be around. Great sense of humor and mischievous, but never in a hurtful manner.

In fact, his antics in Sue's Chemistry class were outdone by me and, mentioning no names, one GW.

As I recall Wayne's last day, he lit up a cigarette in class, in defiance to a command to behave, or some such outrageous request.. Imagine, Wayne behave... not!

Think he had resigned himself to the fact that school was never gong to be his passion.

Never saw him after HS, but have fond memories of him. RIP, Wayne!
